Ever since its opening before the Olympic Games in 1992 the Hotel Rey Juan Carlos Barcelona has been at the top of its game.  With an emphasis on business the hotel recently was voted “Best European Event Hotel” by the UK group Business + Incentives.  The attached Royal Fitness Centre also won the Leading Spa Award at the 2004 Convention of Leading Hotels of the World.  So as you can see this isn’t just any hotel, this hotel is royalty in the industry.

hotel rey juan carlos gardensThe Hotel Rey Juan Carlos Barcelona is very near the Palau de Congressos where many important business events take place.  It is also not far form the Les Corts financial district.  The nearest metro is Zona Universitaria which is 10 minutes away, from there you can take the metro directly into the city centre in 20 minutes.

The hotel is situated next to the Royal Barcelona Polo Club and near the Camp Nou stadium.  The Hotel is set back from the busy road Diagonal which is not the most picturesque thoroughfare.  Any amenities you need such as a cash point and internet can be provided within the hotel, however for pharmacies and other cafes you will have to take the metro 2 stops to Maria Cristina where there are many cafes, a supermarket, pharmacies and a shopping mall.
