The hotel Santa Marta is down a quiet street just next to the Train Station (estacio de Francia).  The best thing about this hotel is it’s proximity to the marina and beach which are a short walk away. 

The metro stop is Barceloneta and is one stop away from central Barcelona, although you could walk to Las Ramblas in 15 minutes.  Other nearby attractions include the Zoo and Parc Ciutadella, the area of El Borne and the Picasso museum and the aquarium.  For banks, cafes and pharmacies it is best to head either down towards the beach or up towards Borne on Passeig de Colom.

How to travel from the airport to the hotel

Via Taxi A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes and cost around 25 - 30 euros depending on traffic and luggage.

Via Train The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gracia station, in about 25 mins and costs 2.60 Euros for a single ticket. You then have to change for the Yellow line for Barceloneta and your hotel is 5 minute walk from the metro stop.

Via Bus The Aerobus will also take you from the Airport to Catalunya station and costs 4.05 Euros. The journey time is around 30 minutes. From Catalunya you then have to change for the Green Line Metro to Passeig de Gracia and then change again for the Yellow line for Barceloneta and your hotel is 5 minute walk from the metro stop.
