Review NH Duc De la Victoria Hotel:

We stayed 2 nights at the Duc in May 2006 and it was one of the best hotels of our 31 day Mediterranean holiday. All the hotels we used were designated first class. Its in a great location within walking distance of the Ramblas and the Barri Gothic and great shopping. Since its in a pedestrian only zone, its quiet at night. The cab driver from the airport was only willing to drop us off at the Ramblas where it meets Catalunya Plaza. It was rush hour when we arrived and the streets were full of people, made it hard to pull our luggage. The hotel got us a taxi to leave from the hotel, at the hotel, without any problem. This hotel is clean and well run, the front desk staff - helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet is amazing, one of the best we encountered. They offer an incredible range of food, from Spanish to English and everything in between and even surveyed us as to what else they could add. It was hard to come up with something. The double room was small but had everything you would need and was styled in a modern fashion. 2 working elevators and pleasantly decorated throughout, I would return anytime. We booked (and prepaid) through Lolli at Sunhotels and got a better rate than many other websites.
