Rubens Hotel Barcelona
Located in a quiet residential part of Gracia, very near Gaudi´s famous Parc Guell, Rubens Hotel Barcelona provides comfortable accommodation in an out of town area. The hotel is simple and is a good choice for tourists and families. Although be warned if you are not that mobile then this hotel may not be a good option for you as it located in a very hilly area of Gracia and is itself situated up a slope.
Hotel Facilities
In the lobby, which has you relaxing thanks to the waterfall feature, there is a cigarette machine, a water dispenser and a soda machine. The hotel has a simple café/ restaurant where breakfast (which is apparently great) is served. There is also a set menu for 12 euros available for lunch and dinner. At the back of the reception area there is also a lounge.
Parking is also available. The sun terrace is a lovely place to relax and has views over the city and on a clear day right up to the fair at the top of Tibidabo.
Business Facilities
The 2 rooms: Gaudi and Guell, are offered for your meetings. The largest of the two rooms is 100 metres squared and can hold up to 110 people. The hotel can provide audiovisual equipment such as screens and projectors, as well as secretarial services and translators.
Rooms at Rubens Hotel Barcelona
The hotel has 141 spacious rooms. These rooms feature air-conditioning, Satellite TV with Canal +, a direct phone line and a safe. The bathrooms are marble and have hairdryers.
Hotel Location and Facilities
The hotel Rubens is very near some of Barcelona’s most important medical centres so is a great choice if you have come to Barcelona to have any medical treatments.
The area in which the Rubens hotel is located is very hilly, though there are good bus connections and the metro is a 7 minute downhill walk away (from your hotel). The metro stop Vallcarca is 4 stops away from the centre of the city.
This part of Gracia is very quiet and residential, however there is a bank just down the hill and once you get to the metro, the whole of that street is full of local cafes, restaurants as well as pharmacies, newsagents and food markets. Parc Guell is close and is a main attraction in Barcelona, and downtown Gracia also has some beautiful architecture.

Reservation Information For The Rubens Hotel
In a Nutshell
The Rubens hotel is perfectly comfortable and pleasant. You won’t really feel like you’re in Barcelona, but the city centre is a short metro ride away, and as a consequence the hotel rates are more competitive than staying in a hotel in the very heart of the city centre.
