Cheap Long Term Parking In Barcelona

Car parks can be expensive in Barcelona. This page will give you one solution should you wish to park your car securely for more than just a few days.

The car parks around the city centre generally charge around 1.70 euros / hour to 2.50 euros / hour to park your car.

The parking rates depend on factors such as location of car park and if it is an open air car park or if it is an indoor car park. The rates reduce if you leave your car for 24 hours or more however not by much. You can imagine that if you want to leave your car for anything more than a few days in a Barcelona car park the cost can be quite expensive. So what can you do?

B:SM car parks offers one solution called "P-8 dias" where you can leave your car in a secure car park for up to 8 days for only 45 euros. They have a custom built car park that is in the Forum area of Barcelona where this service operates. You can also leave your car there for longer periods however you will need to arrange this with the security office at the car park when you arrive.

The limitations of this service are that you cannot take your car out and back in again during the 8 days without incurring another charge of 45 euros. Therefore this parking option is useful for those who may have driven to Barcelona or arrived at the port with a car and wish to leave their car in a secure car park whilst they explore the city by other means of transport.

The Forum area is well connected by the metro, bus and Tram (Tranvia) and you have only a short 30 minute trip into the very heart of the city centre.

Alternatively you can travel by taxi to the city centre or the cruise terminal in about 15 to 20 minutes. The taxi fare ( for the whole taxi) will cost you around 10 -15 euros for the trip from the car park to the cruise terminal or the city centre. You can fit about 4 people in a taxi, depending on the amount of luggage.

Where to buy the "P- 8 dias" ?

You can buy the P-8 dias card from the car park itself. They are open 24 hours / day seven days per week. You can only use the P-8 at the Plaça del Fòrum car park.

The price of the P- 8 dias card is 45 euros fully inclusive of tax.
