There are no direct trains from Barcelona Airport to Lloret de Mar. Therefore, it is necessary to take a train into the centre of Barcelona to head out towards the north of Catalunya.
Take the Barcelona Airport Train - The R2 Nord to Estació Sants. If you are arriving into Terminal 1 (T1) you will not be able to walk straight to the train station, as it is 4km away. You will need to take a shuttle bus from outside the terminal.
At Estació Sants you will need to change. There are no trains directly to Lloret de Mar - it is necessary to catch a train to Blanes and catch a bus from there.
To find out the time of this train it is necessary to go to the local trains section of the RENFE website - Cercanías. The train that you will be catching is the C1 - destination Blanes. The journey lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. There are two trains which leave for Blanes every hour.
The Pujol Coach company schedule shuttle buses from directly outside Blanes Train Station. Times vary depending on the day of the week, however they normally run twice per hour - the journey lasts approximately 20 minutes. The price of the bus journey is small.
