If you wish to travel from the Barcelona cruise ship terminals (often referred to as Barcelona Pier) to Barcelona Airport or vice versa, you have the following options:

Private transfer service - Barcelona Airport to / or from Cruise Port
You can book a private car with a driver between Barcelona Airport and the Cruise Port so that you don't have to wait in lines for a taxi at the airport or at the cruise port.
Once booked, you will have someone waiting to meet you at Barcelona Airport or Barcelona Cruise Port with a sign with your name on it.
If you want to go from the Cruise Port to Barcelona Airport, keep in mind that there will be hundreds of cruise travellers disembarking the cruise at the time time so having a driver waiting for you with a sign with your name to take you directly to the Airport instead of having to wait at the taxi rank under the sun is an option to consider.
Transfer by Taxi - Barcelona Airport to / from Cruise Port
The distance from Barcelona Airport to Barcelona Pier is approximately 15.3 km. This will take about twenty minutes in a taxi. Many of the cruise companies recommend this as the easiest way to travel to and from your ship from the airport.

There is a secure luggage storage and transfers service that operates to and from Barcelona. This is a handy service were you can drop off your luggage and have it securely transferred to your final destination e.g. your hotel or other destination e.g. the cruise port. Transport from Barcelona Pier to Barcelona airport is not particularly straightforward with public transport - there is no direct train or bus from the airport to the pier and back. It is for this reason that taxis, private transfers run by private companies are recommended for those travelling on cruise ships.
