The Carmel Bunkers (Bunkers del Carmel in Spanish) are the remains of a fortified military walls which were built during the Spanish Civil War in 1937 and used as an anti-aircraft artillery to protect Barcelona from aerial attacks. Large cannons were mounted on these huge concrete barriers to protect the city from additional bombings. After the war, the cannons were then removed and later on was used as a settlement.

Metro: Alfons X (Yellow Line, L4)
The Carmen Bunkers are at 1.3km distance or 25 minutes walk from the metro station so we recommend you to take the bus V19 on Carrer de Praga, at a 2 minutes walk from the metro station.
You could also use the HolaBCN card which gives you unlimited travel on the public transport system including metro and buses. Tickets can be purchased online. You can then collect the physical card at the automated vending machines at the Airport metro station.
