Parc de Cervantes is a large green space where you will see a collection of about 10,000 rosebushes from 2,000 different species around the world. Upon entering you will see these amazing vibrant and charming roses that will brighten up your day . Especially roses that are starting to bloom showing off their natural beauty. It is quite fascinating that nature produces art naturally. Its like walking through a paradise of roses and quite romantic since the rose represents love and adoration. Aside from the roses you will see plants and trees in the area and a small open-air museum.

The parc is also known for its yearly Internation New Rose Competition held in may since 2001. We highly recommend you visit the parc during during or around the competition dates, which is when you’ll see the roses in full bloom.

 

Parc de Cervantes or Cervantes park is situated in Pedralbes neighbourhood in Les Corts. It is dedicated to the author Miguel de Cervantes was opened in 1965. Since 2001, the garden hosts the International New Rose competition and is now known for showcasing new creations worldwide.

Additionally, the park offers green spaces for sports activities like, running and cycling or simply walking around. You can also relax under the shaded areas of the garden and indulge in the lush and colourful scenery.

How to get to Parc de Cervantes

MetroMetro: Zona Universitària (Green Line, L3)

From the metro you will walk about 4 minutes to the garden.

You could use the HolaBCN card which gives you unlimited travel on the public transport system including metro and Montjuïc funicular. The HolaBCN card can be purchased online here. Once purchased, you can then collect the physical card at the automated vending machines at any metro station.

Hop on hop off sightseeing tourist bus stop

Nearest stop for Parc de Cervantes is "Palau Reial – Pavellons Güell" on the blue route with the "hop on hop off" sightseeing bus

From the bus stop you will walk about 1 minute to the gardens.
