Introduction
The Palau de Congressos de Barcelona is a large conference centre situated in an atmospheric and picturesque location in Barcelona called Montjuïc. There are quite a number of conference centres in Barcelona so make sure you don't get confused by their similar names.
This conference centre has access to excellent metro and bus transport connections from Plaça España which is only a 5 minutes walk from the centre.

How to get to the conference centre from Barcelona Airport
There are 3 main ways to get to the conference centre from Barcelona Airport
1) Aerobus (Express bus service) - You catch the Aerobus outside of any of the Airports 2 terminals and get off at Plaça España.
Travel time approximately 30 minutes.

2) RENFE Train and Metro
Catch the RENFE Train from the airport to Barcelona Sants and then change at Barcelona Sants for the metro (Subway) to Plaça España.

Attractions close to the Fira de Barcelona conference centre
The Palau de Congressos de Barcelona conference centre is also only 5 minutes walk from the famous Catalan modern Art museum MNAC and is the location where Freddie Mercury sang "Barcelona" the theme music to the Olympic Games that were held here in 1992.
The Olympic stadium is only 15 minutes walk from the conference centre and is open to tourist. Entrance is free.
Another important sight near the conference centre is Magic Fountain of Montjuïc which is a water and music extravaganza that runs every evening time ( times vary depending on the time of year click on the link above to get more information).
The Palau de Congressos de Barcelona is in a picturesque quarter of the city but at the same time offers excellent transport links from Plaça España. If you get the chance make sure you pop into the town centre (Plaça de Catalunya) and walk up the famous Las Ramblas - conferences need not be all work you know!
