What is included in your Cruise Transfer and Test Package with Pick up at Barcelona Cruise Port?

A coordinator of the test centre will be waiting for you at the exit of your cruise terminal together with your driver at your requested pick up time from your cruise terminal.

You will be greeted by both of them and taken to your premium Mercedes vehicle.

Your driver will assist you with your luggage and will place your luggage into the vehicle boot.

Your driver will then take you the test centre that is located in the Sagrada Familia area of Barcelona. It´s a 20-25 minute drive from Barcelona Cruise Port.

Once at the test centre, you will check-in at reception with your voucher number, and will be tested immediately.
The test centre has different testing rooms and dedicated testing rooms for cruise travellers, to ensure you´ll get tested quickly and efficiently, with no wait time.

While you get tested, your driver will stay in the car with your luggage so that you do not have to carry your luggage with you from the car to the test centre, inside the test centre, and then again from the test centre to the car.

Your antigen test certificate will be sent to your email approximately 15 minutes after you got tested. If you want, you can wait at the test centre for 15 minutes until your antigen test certificate is ready, so that it is hand-delivered to you. In all cases your test certificate is also always sent to your email address.

Then, the driver takes to your accommodation in Barcelona, whether it is a hotel, tourist apartment or private home or directly to Barcelona Airport. If you´re heading to the airport, it will be a 25-30 minute drive from the clinic to the airport.

The driver will unload your luggage from the vehicle and handle it to you.

The number and type of suitcases that will fit into the vehicle boot depend on the size of your suitcases.

Below we give you the approximate maximum suitcase length for each category of luggage.

Then in the price section below we have indicated the maximum number of suitcases that will fit in the vehicle boot depending on the number and type of luggage you´ll have.

There are 4 main types of luggage and size:

Small carry on bag

Eg. hand back, backpack that you´ll use for your personal items such as your mobile phone, travel documents, camera, laptop.

Maximum length: 17 inches / 43 cm approximately

Carry on luggage

Eg. the typical carry on luggage of maximum 10 kg that you can take with you on a plane.

Maximum length: 21 inches / 55 cm approximately

Medium size luggage

Eg: the typical suitcase of maximum 23kg with airlines that you´ll check in when you take the plane.

Maximum length: 25-27 inches / 63-69 cm approximately

Large size luggage

Eg: this is a big check in suitcase, of maximum 30kg with airlines, that you´ll check in when you take the plane.

Maximum length: 28-32 inches / 71-81 cm approximately

The prices given in the table below are per person, for the Cruise Traveller Transfer and Antigen Test Package.

We have also indicated the approximate maximum number of luggage will fit in the vehicle.

Price per person, in a Mercedes V class minivan for up to 6 people

Total maximum number of suitcases per vehicle:

6 small carry on bag + 6 medium size suitcases

OR 2 medium size + 4 large size suitcases

OR 6 carry on luggage + 4 large size suitcases

Note: If you are 1 or 2 persons, with a maximum of 2 carry on luggage and 2 medium size suitcases in total, your vehicle will either be a Mercedes S class car or a Mercedes V class minivan.

f you have more luggage than the maximum number of suitcases indicated above, then your vehicle will be a Mercedes Sprinter minibus. Prices in a Mercedes Sprinter minibus are given below.

If you are more than 5 adults, your vehicle will be a Mercedes Sprinter minibus so that you can travel comfortably and have room inside the vehicle. Prices in a Mercedes Sprinter minibus are given below.

Price per person, in a Mercedes Sprinter minibus for up to 15 people

Total maximum number of suitcases per minibus:

20 carry on luggage + 15 small carry on bags

OR 14 medium size suitcases + 15 small carry on bags

OR 9 large size suitcase + 15 small carry on bags

Note: small carry on bags will be stored in the over head compartment

If you have more luggage than the maximum number of suitcases indicated above, then your vehicle will be a bus. Prices in a bus are given below.

Price per person, in a bus for up to 50 people

Total maximum number of suitcases per vehicle:

30 carry on luggage + 50 medium size suitcases + 50 small carry on bags

OR 20 carry on luggage + 50 large size suitcases + 50 small carry on bags

Note: small carry on bags will be stored in the over head compartment

Note that the maximum number and type of luggage indicated in the tables above is a good representation of reality but is approximate. This is not an exact science. The number and type of luggage that will fit in will also depend on the following:

1. thickness of your suitcase,
2. if you´re using the expandable zippers of your luggage or not,
3. if you´re using bags instead of suitcases which are more flexible,
4. if you´re using rigid suitcases.

Therefore upon booking it is very important that you select the right amount of luggage of each type that you´ll have so that the transfer company can double check that they´ll fit in the boot of the vehicle.

Useful information when travelling with kids

If you´re travelling with kids who do not need to get tested, kids will not pay anything.

Eg. If you´re a family of 2 adults with 2 kids who do not need to get tested and you have a number of luggage that will fit in the minivan, the price you´ll pay will be:
2 x €165.00

If however, you´re travelling with kids who do need to get tested, kids will pay the normal price.

Eg. If you´re a family of 2 adults with 2 kids who do need to get tested and you have a number of luggage that will fit in the minivan, the price you´ll pay will be:
4 x € €110.00

The test centre performs nasal antigen tests and antigen saliva tests, which are much more comfortable. With an antigen saliva test, you’ll only be requested to provide a saliva sample by spitting it into a sample container. If your kids are old enough to understand that they need to generate saliva and spit it in the sample bottle, then you might prefer them to get a saliva antigen test if they´re accepted by your country of destination. For antigen saliva tests, make sure not to eat or drink anything for 30 minutes before your test because it could invalidate your test. If you´re an adult wanting to get a saliva test, in addition to not eating and drinking, make sure not to smoke for 30 minutes before your test.

If you´re travelling with kids whose height is equal or inferior to 135cm (= 53.14 inches), make sure to indicate your children age in the booking form below so that your driver installs baby or child seats in the vehicle.

Child seats are compulsory of kids whose height is equal or inferior to 135cm (= 53.14 inches).

Baby and child seats are provided free of charge by the transfer company.

Your cruise disembarking time and your pick up time at the cruise port

Upon filling out the booking form below, it is very important that you indicate the time at which you want to be picked up at the cruise port, which will be different from your cruise arrival time at Barcelona Cruise Port and from your disembarking time.

There are 3 different times to consider:

1. Your cruise arrival time at Barcelona Cruise Port

Eg. Your cruise arrival time at Barcelona Cruise Port is at 05:00.

2. Your disembarking time from the cruise.

Eg. Your cruise arrival time at Barcelona Cruise Port is at 05:00, but your disembarking time may not be until 09:00.

3. The time you want your private driver to meet you at your cruise terminal once you have collected your luggage and are ready to leave the cruise terminal.

Eg. Your disembarking time is at 09:00, and you may have your luggage approximately 30 minutes after, at 09:30. You will be ready for your driver to meet you at your cruise terminal at 09:30. This will be the time at which you´ll want to be picked up at the cruise port.

Disembarking times at Barcelona Cruise Port are usually given by the cruise lines to the cruise passengers a few days before disembarking. The time needed to collect your luggage will depend on the number of cruise passengers disembarking at the same time and on the cruise company. We recommend you ask your cruise company the time at which you´ll have your luggage based on your disembarking time so that you can decide the time at which you want your private driver to meet you at your cruise terminal.

The prices given above include a 30 minutes wait time at the cruise port from your requested pick up time.

The following supplements will apply if you need your driver to wait for you at your cruise terminal for more than 30 minutes from your requested pick up time:

Additional wait time supplement in a Mercedes Sprinter Minibus: €99.00

Additional wait time supplement in a bus: €132.00

Note these supplements are per vehicle, not per person.

You will have to pay for the supplement directly at the test centre.

If, during disembarking you see that you will not be on time for your requested pick up time, you will just need to contact the test centre to inform them, so that they can coordinate with your driver who will know they have to wait for you additional time.

If you´re making your reservation for your Cruise Traveller Package in advance, you will not have your disembarking time yet. You can still book your Cruise Traveller Package without knowing your disembarking time and requested pick up time. Leave the field for your disembarking time empty and in the field for the requested pick up time, indicate your cruise arrival time. In the comments field at the bottom of the form, please indicate that you don´t have your disembarking time yet and that therefore, you don´t know at what time you want to be picked up at the port yet.

As soon as you have your disembarking time confirmed and are able to work out the time at which you´ll be ready with your luggage to meet your driver, please send it to the test centre so that they can arrange your transfer from the cruise port at your requested pick up time.

Your booking will be confirmed within 20 minutes by the testing centre during their operating hours for confirming appointments.

3. Make the payment through the secure payment link sent by the testing centre to confirm your booking. Your booking will not be confirmed until you have made your payment to confirm your Cruise Traveller Transfer and Antigen Package reservation.

4. On your cruise arrival date and disembarking time, the testing facility coordinator will be waiting for you at a meeting point at your cruise terminal with your private driver.
Your driver will take you to the testing centre where you´ll get your antigen test and your antigen test certificate.
Your driver will then take you to your accommodation in Barcelona or directly to Barcelona airport.

5. You also receive your COVID test certificates by email.

Your coordinator and driver will be waiting for you at the exit of your cruise terminal, after you´ve collected your luggage with a sign with your name or you group name on it.

There are different terminals at Barcelona Cruise Port and each of them have an exit door after you´ve collected your luggage where the coordinator of the test centre or your driver will be waiting for you.
