Q: What are the operating hours for the metro from the airport (El Prat de Llobregat) to Las Ramblas?
A: The metro line that links Barcelona airport to the city centre operates under the normal metro hours. The operating hours for the metro system are shown in the table below. Normally you won't have to wait more than 5 minutes for a train to arrive. The service normally runs every 7 minutes however this frequency can change depending on the demand. If there is a large event or conference the frequency of the trains running will increase to accommodate the demand.

Important note: The operation times shown in the table above will change if there is a public holiday or "fiesta" normally the metro will operate throughout the night on the eve of the public holiday but it is recommended to check the operational hours during these times with an attendant at a ticket booth to confirm because this is not always the case.The Airport Metro line, called L9 Sud, runs to and from Barcelona airport and has stops at both T1 and T2 (Terminal 1 and Terminal 2). These stops are called Aeroport T2 and Aeroport T1.

The Hola Barcelona Travel Pass will give you unlimited travel on the Barcelona Metro including the Barcelona Airport metro line (Orange Line, L9), the Barcelona buses (TMB buses) including the TMB bus from Barcelona centre to Barcelona Airport, the tram (TRAM), the urban railway (FGC trains in Zone 1) and the regional railway (Rodalies de Catalunya trains, in Zone 1) including the Barcelona Airport RENFE R2 train. However it cannot be used on the Aerobus (the express bus service to the airport).
