Cheap Long Term Parking Near Cruise Port in Barcelona?

Q: We are going on a cruise, leaving from Barcelona port and are trying to find low cost parking for our car for 1 week. We want to park near the cruise port but with good access to the metro so we can visit the city.

A: There are a number of car parks near the cruise port however their rates can be higher than other car parks due to them being in busy locations. However there is an underground car park only a short 7 minute drive from the Christopher Columbus monument near the cruise port in an area called Poble Sec which meets your needs. It is called BSM Plaça Navas car park.

The BSM Plaça Navas car park is easy to get to from the cruise port because it is a straight road all the way. You just need to leave the port area and get onto Avenida de Paral.lel and drive about halfway up this road. Please note that to enter the car park you would have to turn to go onto the other side of the road however you cannot simply turn left on Paral.lel. You would need to enter a small turning point which is at the junction of Carrer Rocafort and Carrer Manso. Look for the BBVA bank on the right-hand side which is just before the turning point. Here you would enter the turning point and then you would be able to cross the road when the traffic lights permit. You would then drive back down Paral.lel a short distance until you arrived at Carrer de Jaume Fabra which is the turnoff for the car park.

BSM Plaça Navas car park is an underground car park which has 24/7 security. They offer a reduced rate for weekly stay (see rates below). The other advantage of this staying in this car park is that you can buy a Multiparking pass. This gives you the option to leave and enter the car park as many times as you want and to use other BSM car parks anywhere in the city without paying extra. Just a few minutes walk from the car park you have the Poble Sec metro station which is a green line underground station which connects you with the rest of the city. You can travel to Las Ramblas in 8 minutes from here because it is only a few stops to La Rambla (Barcelona's most famous boulevard). If you need to travel to the cruise port from the car park, it is at Drassanes, which is only two stops down. Drassanes is the closest metro stop to the cruise ship port.
