Q: We are arriving a World Trade Centre Palacruceros terminal and want to make our way to Las Ramblas by bus. Is there a shuttle bus service that runs from the Ramblas to the cruise port?
A: There is a cruise port shuttle bus service called the Cruise Bus service (Colloquially known as the "Blue Bus") that runs in a circular repeating route from the Christopher Columbus monument to all cruise disembarking points. The Columbus monument is a 1 minute walk to the foot of the famous La Rambla Boulevard.

Route for the cruise port shuttle bus
The shuttle bus circular route is illustrated in our map below. We have also indicated the stops for the shuttle bus, along with the cruise port terminal names so that you can see where to catch the bus.
Timetable for the Cruise Bus
The cruise port shuttle bus co-ordinates its schedule and frequency depending on the arrival and departures of the cruises. Therefore the cruise shuttle bus service is not a regular scheduled bus service but one that only runs based on demand.
On the map below we have put a small bus symbol next to each of the stops made by the Cruise Bus.
Tickets for the cruise shuttle bus can be purchased on the bus. The driver will only accept cash with either coins or small bills.
Tickets can also be ordered in advance (see link below).

Alternative transport to the Cruise Bus service
If you would rather arrange your transfer to your hotel in advance of your trip you could book a private transfer online. The advantage of this is that there is no waiting around or trying to figure out how to get to your hotel. The driver will be waiting at the disembarking point for your cruise and will have a card with your name written on it. The driver then assists you with your luggage and you are driven directly to your hotel or other destination. This is an attractive stress-free option if you don't want to be queueing once you disembark.

How to avoid queuing for your COVID test certificate
If you're leaving on a cruise ship from Barcelona you will require a COVID test before you can embark on your cruise. The problem is that the queues for the test centres suggested by the cruise liners can be several hours long. To learn how you can avoid the queues and get your COVID test certificate for your cruise without queuing follow the link below that explains three strategies you can take. The express COVID testing centre we recommend can issue your negative COVID test certificate that meet the specifications of all cruise ships entering Barcelona.
