Travel Options To Montserrat From Barcelona, Spain?

Q: I am visiting Barcelona in May for just a few nights. I am interested in making a day trip from Barcelona. As I only speak English, I think a guided tour is best from Barcelona. Can you tell me if there is a tour I can take and if I can book once I get there rather than in advance? Can you give me an approximate cost and schedule? Thank you.
A: I am not aware specifically of a tour to Montserrat that you can book in Barcelona and have it confirmed on the same day. If you want to go to Montserrat on your trip, I think the best option is to book in advance or make your own way there. If you try and book online whilst you are here, sometimes there can be a few days to confirm the booking. This would obviously not be right for you if you want to go on the same day of the booking. This is why it is best to book in advance if you wanted to book online.
