La Rambla is Barcelona's most well-known street and it has a magnetic attraction for tourists from all over the world. Those who choose to stay at Hotel Arc La Rambla can feel assured that they will be at the hub of Barcelona's tourist activity. However, this is a position that may not appeal to all. The Ramblas is perfect evidence that Barcelona is a city that never sleeps. If this is not the pace of holiday that you are looking for, it may be worth aiming for a hotel in a quieter part of town.
Hotel Arc La Rambla does not have a pool or gym. It also does not have a bar or restaurant. However, the hotel does provide an area serving a cold continental buffet breakfast.
No pets are allowed in the hotel.
There are no meeting or conference rooms in the hotel. However, there is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel (password at reception). There is also an internet access available in the hotel.
There are four rooms that have been adapted for wheelchair use. They have widened doors and specials baths fitted. There are lifts to all floors.
There are a total of 98 rooms in the hotel, over 5 floors. All rooms are double or triple. A cot can also be provided in the rooms. 33 of the hotel's street-facing rooms have balconies. The street-facing rooms will also provide views of the Ramblas.
The windows are not double-glazed and the hotel is located on the Ramblas, famed for its 24-hour party atmosphere. Those who are hoping for a more peaceful night's sleep should request an interior room.
There is an option for short stay rooms in the hotel. This is subject to availability and is at reduced price at the discretion of the hotel.
Hotel Arc La Rambla is in the privileged position of being located both on the Ramblas and close to Barcelona's port area. The port area provides opportunities to view the many yachts moored in its marina, take a walk along the wooden pier and visit the shops and restaurants in the Maremagnum commercial centre. This area is popular amongst tourists, which is reflected in the higher prices in restaurants and shops. However, it is a good place to take a picnic and sit at the water's edge.
|Mirador de Colom Monument|
The hotel is also located close to Monument de Colom. This is a famous Barcelona landmark and is a useful marker to find your back to the foot of the Ramblas if you find yourself lost in the city.
The hotel is positioned close to the bottom of the Ramblas. Here, aside from all of the tourist attractions, it will also be possible to find many necessary amenities. These include banks, cash machines, internet cafés, pharmacies and a large supermarket.
Hotel Arc La Rambla backs onto the area of Raval. This barrio makes up part of Barcelona's old town and is less discovered by tourists than the Gothic Quarter. It is well worth exploring. Two important modern art museums- the MACBA and CCCB are located in this area.
