The hotel's exterior is large with shiny black sheets covering many of the windows. The lobby area is spacious and airy with high ceilings. Black slate floors lead to the long front desk. An area to the left of the entrance offers semi-circle shaped grey velvet couches with bright orange cushions. The floor of the seating area is covered in a real cow-skin fur rug. Thick white pillars punctuate the space that sits on the street corner - allowing for additional size.
A bustling and sprawling restaurant and bar area sits just off the reception. It gives a sense of the activity and business that take place in the hotel.

Ayre Gran Via Hotel, Barcelona is located a 1 minute walk from Plaça España. This is the home of the Fira Barcelona - one of Barcelona's largest conference centres. Large conventions for thousands of people are held on a weekly basis in the Fira. For those attending conferences at the Fira, the hotel is particularly convenient.
Plaça España is also where you will find Barcelona's Palace. The Palace is also the place where the Magic Fountain shows take place at weekends. Please see our Guide to the Magic Fountain.

However, it has its own charm and is becoming increasingly popular amongst the young and trendy of Barcelona. It is the home of the CCCB - a museum of contemporary culture and is jam-packed with interesting bars and independent restaurants.
