The hotel is also close to the back of the Boqueria food market. This is a favourite and a strong recommendation of chefs all around the world. It is renowned for its wide variety of produce, both international and local. It is worth a visit just to experience the overwhelming feast for the senses.

On Calle Carme itself there are a number of choices of places to eat and drink. Carmelitas is a classy establishment with affordable prices. It is a large restaurant that has a mellow atmosphere, with cream floors and touches of maroon. It is known for its set menu ('Menu del Dia'), which is good value and at a high standard.
The bar next door, Dos Trece, is a favourite amongst locals and is known for its cosy, Moroccan style basement area. The area is popular for its DJ sessions and monthly flea markets.
The hotel's close proximity to the Ramblas ensures that you will not be far from general amenities such as banks, pharmacies, supermarkets, internet cafés and bureaux de change.

How to travel from the airport to the hotel

Via Taxi: A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes.

Via Train: The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gràcia in 25 minutes. You can either use the T-Casual transport ticket from the airport (a ticket for 10 separate journeys on Barcelona public transport system) or you can buy a single fare ticket. You then change at Passeig de Gràcia onto the Green Line metro and travel two stops to Liceu. Your hotel is then less than a 10 minute walk from the metro. Alternatively you can take a taxi from Passeig de Gràcia which will take 10 minutes.
