Its lobby area is large with little that is elaborate. The front desk inhabits only a small part of the area and houses friendly staff. The restaurant area is visible from the lobby through glass doors. It adds interest to the area with its brown and white stripy walls. The hotel is clean and bright, due to its large windows at the front of the building.

Whilst the area in which the hotel is based is rather quiet and lacking in places of interest, it is, at the same time, within walking distance of some of Barcelona's most desirable locations. It is located a five-minute walk from Plaza Universitat. This square is always a hive of activity. It is the home of Barcelona University. The square is also adjacent to Plaça de Catalunya. This is one of Barcelona's most iconic squares. It is home to the department store - El Corte Inglés, Hard Rock Café and many other bars and restaurants. Plaça de Catalunya also sits at the top of the Ramblas. Here is where you will be able to find all necessary amenities - pharmacies, banks, internet cafés and supermarkets. It is also a popular tourist attraction with street entertainers and souvenir shops.

In the other direction, a ten-minute walk from the hotel, it is possible to find the Mercat de Sant Antoni. The building itself has a distinctive exterior with large arches and an iron framework. It is home to a roofed food market. On Sundays, around the edges of the market there are stalls selling books, comics, stamps and records - a collector's paradise.
The hotel's location, a ten-minute walk from the Plaça España will make it convenient for those attending conferences or conventions at the Fira de Barcelona - one of Barcelona's largest conference centres. How to travel from the airport to the hotel
Booking your airport transport in advance onlineWith a private transfer service the driver will be waiting for you at the designated meeting point given to you on the booking voucher. The driver will help you with your bags to the vehicle and then drive you to your hotel. Private transfers are independent of the the public transport system. This means if there is a public transport strike these services will continue to operate.
Public transport transfer options
Via Taxi: A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes.
Taxi Fare: €30.00 - €40.00
Via Train: The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gràcia in 25 minutes. You can either use the T-Casual transport ticket from the airport (a ticket for 10 separate journeys on Barcelona public transport system) or you can buy a single fare ticket. You then change at Passeig de Gràcia onto the Yellow Line metro and travel one stop to Urquinaona and then change onto the Red Line and travel to Urgell. Your hotel is then 10 minutes walk from the metro.

Via Bus: Take the 'Aerobus' to Plaça de Catalunya from directly outside the airport. The Aerobus generally runs every 10 - 15 minutes and the journey time is 30 minutes. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from here. If you take a taxi it will take about 10 minutes. Alternatively, you can catch the metro from Plaça de Catalunya to Urgell on the Red Line; from here the hotel is a 10 minute walk.
