|Plaça de Catalunya|
Denit Hotel Barcelona is located on a quiet street just off the top of the Ramblas, close to Plaça de Catalunya. Plaça de Catalunya is one of Barcelona's largest and most well known squares. It is the home of Barcelona's main Tourist Information office. It is also the gateway to areas such as Eixample - renowned for its designer shops and expensive restaurants and Gràcia - a more bohemian area, popular for its numerous terraces and independent bars.
Denit Hotel is located within 1-minute's walk of Portal del Angel, where much of Barcelona's shopping takes place. On this street there are large outlets of chain shops such as Zara, Mango and H&M.
For those looking to hit the town for a night out, El Raval is within 10 minutes walk and offers a welcome alternative to the Irish bars and tourist hot spots. It is popular amongst a younger Spanish crowd for its small and interesting bars. Betty Fords on Calle Joaquin Costa has the feel of a smoky twenties speak-easy and offers America-style burgers. Ressolis on Calle Reira Baixa has a beautiful Art Deco style façade and is a good choice for a bottle of wine and some typically Spanish tapas.
The hotel is less than a 5-minute walk from the top of the Ramblas. Here, aside from all of the tourist attractions, it will also be possible to find many necessary amenities. These include banks, cash machines, internet cafés, pharmacies and a large supermarket.
