The Viladomat Hotel Barcelona is located close to the Estacio Sants, in uptown Barcelona. It is a large hotel that is likely to be used by a lot of businessmen. However, it is also close to Avenida Diagonal and lots of Barcelona's tourist attractions. It does not have a shower in the bathroom.

Hotel Entrance: Accessibility For The Wheelchair traveller

There are three stairs leading to the entrance. There is a ramp leading up the side of them. Both the ramp and the steps have handrails. At the entrance there is the option of either a rotating door or a single manual door.

The Hotel Lift Dimensions

There are four lifts available. The lifts do not provide verbal announcements for stops. The lift buttons have raised numbers.

- Internal width of the lift: 110 cm
- Internal depth of the lift: 152 cm

Public Areas in the Hotel

The dining area is located next to reception. It can be reached by a small flight of four stairs. However, the lift also stops at the dining room floor as well as the reception area.

There are a total of 3 adapted rooms in the hotel. They are all double rooms. It is not possible to re-arrange the room's furniture on request.

- Height of the bed from the floor to the mattress: 61 cm
- Clear space height from the floor to under the bed base: 30 cm
- Height of the clothes rail in the wardrobe: 150 cm

The bathroom does not contain a level access shower. There is no telephone to reception in the bathroom. There is a handrail beside the toilet. There is a bath with handrail.

- Length of the floor space in front of the WC: 175 cm
- Height of the toilet seat from the floor: 40 cm
- Height of grab bar on bath: 60 cm

All in all, Viladomat offers adequate facilities for travellers with a disability. Unfortunately, the lack of a shower in the bathroom will rule it out as an option for some. It only has three adapted rooms, so if you are interested in staying in the hotel it is worth booking as early as possible.
