The hotel's exterior is in a classic hotel style - stone brickwork and large balconies make up the front façade. The lobby area is small with a beige marble floor. The front desk area is to the right hand side of the space with elevators straight ahead. There is an area around the edge of the lobby with low round tables and faux-leather seats. The tables are adorned with free guidebooks to the city that have been produced by the hotel company and are available to customers. A small doorway leads to a downstairs bar area.

The hotel's location is integral to its appeal. It is within five minutes walking of Passeig de Gràcia and Plaça de Catalunya. It is also located right next to Rambla de Catalunya - a popular street for its leafy pedestrianized area and numerous terraces.

HCC Taber Hotel is located well for those who wish to be close to Barcelona's tourist centre. The Ramblas is less than ten minutes walk from the hotel. This is a popular destination for tourists. It is renowned for being a place to people watch, shop for souvenirs or sit on one of its many terraces. However, be warned, eating or drinking on the Ramblas will be more expensive than offerings in other, less touristy areas. The Ramblas is also a useful place to find necessary amenities such as internet cafés, banks, pharmacies, bureaux de change and supermarkets.

Taller de Tapas

The hotel is located right next to Rambla de Catalunya. This is a charming and leafy street that is dotted with cafés, bakeries and restaurants. There is a Taller de Tapas on Rambla de Catalunya. This is a tapas chain that is known for its high standard of food and service. It perhaps makes the tapas experience more accessible for tourists than in other, more local bars. However, it does not sacrifice on authenticity - offering the best in Catalan cuisine.

Colmado Quilez

Right opposite the hotel it is possible to find Colmado Quilez. This is a large deli-style shop. It is worth a visit for its shop windows alone - they are very traditional in style and display the many luxury items available inside. The store is renowned for its knowledgeable staff that can provide all of the necessary details as to the cheeses, meats, alcohols and dried goods that are on offer. A good place to find some gifts to bring back for friends and family.

Public transport transfer options

Via Taxi: A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes.

Via Train: The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gràcia in 25 minutes.
