Review Hesperia Tower Hotel, Barcelona

Page Content

Hesperia Tower Hotel
Hesperia Tower is a hotel and convention centre located on the outskirts of Barcelona. It can be seen for miles around - a skyscraper with a space-ship like glass dome on the roof. It pops up in the centre of an industrial estate, where there is very little else of interest in the area.

Its entrance is flanked by two large pools of water that provide a rippling reflection on the roof of the hotel's interior. The lobby area is large and open with lots of light, due to a largely glass ceiling. A bar area offers low lights sitting above every coffee table and surrounded by comfortable beige swivel chairs. A separate seating area has thick lime green rugs sitting on top of the lobby's black marble floor. Purple and grey couches veer between practical comfort and others that are like works of art. The front desk is black and shiny with soft lighting in its surrounds.

Hesperia Tower is more than just a hotel - it is also a conference centre. For this reason and due to its location outside of the city of Barcelona, it has a business-like atmosphere. Plasma screens display timetables for the conferences that day, and formal meetings appear to be taking place in the lobby. However, the hotel is also home to a 1 Michelin starred roof restaurant and a large spa - making the hotel a viable option for those looking for a relaxing break.
