|Reservation information for the Hotel Gotico|
In the lobby area there is café/ bar which leads you onto the dining room which has an amazing barrelled stone ceiling and is where breakfast is served. The lounge area is relaxing and offers you a choice of international papers. There is a cigarette machine. Also instead of sweets on the reception desk there are apples. The hotel Gotico has access for the disabled and there is parking near the hotel.
Dogs are allowed and there is even a small sun terrace should you be lucky enough to visit Barcelona in the summer.
The Hotel Gotico doesn't have any business facilities
The 78 rooms have been soundproofed although if you are easily disturbed by noise I would still request a room at the back of the hotel. Some rooms have a balcony which is good for people-watching. The rooms all feature air-conditioning and heating. They have a small TV with a parabolic aerial, a safe and a mini-bar, and the en-suite bathrooms have a hair dryer.
|Area around hotel Gotico|
The hotel Gotico location is very central, just minutes walk away from the heart of the Gothic Quarter and the Cathedral. The area of El Borne which is home to the Picasso museum is also close by, and you could walk through the impressive Plaça Sant Jaume to Las Ramblas in under 10 minutes.
There is a pharmacy next door to the Hotel Gotico Barcelona and just up in Place de L'Angel there is a bank, a bakery and several nice cafes. This is also where you will find the metro stop Jaume 1 which is one stop away from Barceloneta and its beaches.

Minibus shared transfer (advanced reservation required)
A shared minibus transfer option is cheaper than the private transfer. You would need to make your way to designated meeting point at the airport.
Private transfer (advanced reservation required)
With a private transfer service the driver will be waiting for you at your arrivals gate. He will have a board or a sign with your name on it so that you can easily identify him. The driver will help you with your bags to the vehicle and then drive you to your hotel.

Via Train The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gràcia, in about 25 minutes and costs €4.10 for a single ticket. You then have to change at Passeig de Gràcia for the Yellow Line Metro to Jaume I and your hotel is 3 minute walk from the metro stop.
Via Bus The Aerobus will also take you from the Airport to Catalunya station and costs €5.90 . The journey time is around 30 minutes. From Catalunya you need to take the Green Line Metro to Passeig de Gràcia and then change again for the Yellow line for Jaume I and your hotel is 3 minute walk from the metro stop.
The Hotel Gotico Barcelona is a good central choice for a hotel and suitable for both tourists and business people. What the hotel lacks in facilities it makes up for in location.
