Review InterContinental Barcelona Hotel Barcelona
Page Content
Just off Plaça España, hidden down an unassuming road stands the InterContinental Barcelona Hotel Barcelona. The standard grey façade shows nothing of the splendour that awaits guests on entrance to the huge lobby. In the lobby area there are several different lounge areas where you can take a rest on the comfortable, classically-upholstered sofas and muse over the paintings for sale which line the walls. This hotel is opulent and welcoming.

The InterContinental Barcelona hotel Barcelona has a main restaurant called El Mall which is rustic in ambience and décor and serves international as well as Catalan food for those feeling a little bit more adventurous. There is also a large piano bar rather comically called Scruples which has live music every evening and a smaller restaurant which serves a buffet breakfast. The hotel facilities are impressive, there is a drugstore and, a souvenir boutique in the lobby. The gym is large, and there is also an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, massages are available and there is even a hairdresser and, a squash court. The car park has room for 235 cars, and the hotel has a laundry service. Also, my favourite gadget was the satellite newspaper machine in the lobby which can print out any paper in the world in 2 minutes.

In fact most have 2 queen size beds. The rooms are comfortable and soundproofed and the bathrooms are made from Italian marble. All rooms have satellite TV, radio, movie channels, a safe, mini-bar and wireless internet.
