Roger de Llúria Hotel, Barcelona offers a sense of traditional hotel style in a city that is brimming with modern design hotels. It has a classic feel in a central location in uptown Barcelona.

Roger de Llúria Hotel's lobby area is inviting. To the left of the front desk, a bar area is available, hidden behind a thin curtain. Large tables covered in crisp white tablecloths give the room an elegant feel. The front desk is long and houses friendly and helpful staff. To the right, a seating area offers a comfy place to rest and has a quaint charm. Ornate rugs cover the floor and are covered by blue floral silk couches.

There is no pool, gym or restaurant in the hotel, so visitors in search of luxury may be disappointed by the lack of amenities.

All rooms have double-glazing. However, those requiring a quiet nights sleep should request the rooms on the highest floors at the interior of the hotel. The rooms at the front of the building have balconies. There are some rooms on the top floor of the building with terraces.

All rooms include air conditioning, a safe, a television with satellite, a telephone, a CD player, a hair dryer and a mini-bar.

Roger de Llúria Hotel, Barcelona is located in the centre of Eixample - Barcelona's affluent and glamorous area. It is popular for its cocktail bars. One of these is located opposite the hotel - Gran Foc. This cocktail bar is well-known for offering high quality cocktails. It also has a programme of DJs that play at the weekend.

The hotel lies a 10 minute walk from Plaça de Catalunya. A square that is situated at the top of the Ramblas - Barcelona's most famous tourist street. The square itself is large with an ornate marble floor at its centre - a good place to feed the birds. It also houses the large Spanish department store - El Corte Inglés. This shop sells everything from clothing to children's toys and food.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Gran Via. This large street runs through the centre of the city, from Plaça España.

The hotel is also a 10 minute walk from Passeig de Gràcia. This street is popular for its shopping opportunities. It is the home of many large designer flagship stores such as Burberry, Gucci and Prada. It is also where you can find shops such as Zara and Mango.

This service is the cheapest of the bus transport services from Barcelona airport to the city centre.

You would need to make your way to a meeting point at Barcelona airport. This service drops you off at designated drop off points. You would then need to make your own way to your hotel from there.

This service needs to be booked at least 48 hours before you need it but preferably a week before you need it. It is best to book early to ensure availability especially during peak tourist seasons from April to September.

Private transfer from BCN Airport

With a private transfer service the driver will be waiting for you at the designated meeting point given to you on the booking voucher. You will be travelling in one of the following car types (or similar): Volkswagen Passat, Skoda Superb, Citroen C5 or Peugeot 407. The driver will help you with your bags to the vehicle and then drive you to your hotel.

This is the highest quality private transport service specifically for people wanting a business-class quality service. This service is more expensive than the other transfer services however you will be travelling in a higher quality vehicle than a regular private transfer. Mercedes vehicles are used and will be one of the following: Mercedes E Class, Minivan Mercedes and V Class Mercedes depending on the number of people in your group. The driver will be dressed appropriately for a business environment - dark suit and white shirt and will assist you with your luggage. The pickup point at the airport is specified on your booking voucher. This service is suitable for business clients, VIP pick ups or if you have a special occasion.

Public transport transfer options

Via Taxi: A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes.

Taxi Fare: €30.00  - €35.00

Via Train: The RENFE train leaves the airport every half an hour and will take you to Passeig de Gràcia in 25 minutes. You can either use the T-Casual transport ticket from the airport. The T-Casual ticket gives you 10 separate journeys on Barcelona public transport system or you can buy a single fare train ticket. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the station. Alternatively, if you have a lot of luggage, a taxi would take 2 minutes.

Via Bus: Take the 'Aerobus' to Plaça de Catalunya from directly outside the airport. The Aerobus generally runs every 10 - 15 minutes and the journey time is 30 minutes. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Plaça de Catalunya.
