Skip the Queue at Gaudi's Sagrada Familia - Barcelona's no. 1 tourist attraction (3 million visitors per year)
The breathtaking Sagrada Familia is a giant Basilica and Barcelona's no.1 tourist attraction. It is also my all time personal favourite of all Barcelona attractions. You simply cannot visit Barcelona without seeing this truly incredible creation. The popularity of this attraction can mean queuing times of up to 1 hour or more. If you book online however before you trip you will skip the queue entirely. Something to consider when you realise you will be standing in a queue in the heat of the Spanish sun. In addition if you book online you would benefit from a knowledgeable guide to show you around and give you invaluable insights into Gaudí and his magnificent architectural creations - something you would not get if you simply turned up on the day. If you choose not to book online then be advised to bring a parasol, sunscreen and water - you will have a long wait.

Barcelona centre is a pleasant location to walk around. Much of the area has been pedestrianized, with wide open boulevards that make walking tours a pleasurable way to visit the city.
Many sights can be seen simply by walking around as the city centre is much smaller than you may think. In the Barri Gòtic area (historic quarters) for example, you have nearly a whole day's worth of sights to experience alone without the need for taking any form of public transport. In this area you will see the neighbourhoods in which the painters Picasso and Miró grew up in. You will also see wonderful examples of Catalan architecture the most notable e.g. being Barcelona Cathedral.
Other popular walking tours include the Modernist walking tour and Picasso walking tour.
Walking tours give you a close up feel for the city and are worth considering if you're fit and healthy and don't mind walking.
Sight seeing by means of a ebike (electric assisted bike) is one of the most enjoyable and easy ways to see the city. If you want to get around the city quickly then why not go by bike? You will have a guide who will give interesting commentary as you go. Some of the main sights of interest include:
This is a fun way to see some of the best of what Barcelona has to offer.
