How to get to the Montjuïc cable car main entrance
You can reach the Telefèric de Montjuïc base station by taking the Funicular de Montjuïc from Paral-lel metro station. The Funicular de Montjuïc is a mountain train that takes you on a short journey from Paral.lel metro station up to the Avinguda de Montjuïc which is halfway up the Montjuïc mountain. The funicular drops you off right next door to the Telefèric de Montjuïc base station. You can also get to the Telefèric de Montjuïc base station by taking the Barcelona Bus Turistic Hop On Hop Off sightseeing bus and get off at the Montjuïc cable car stop.

How to book your tickets
You can book your tickets for the Montjuïc Cable Car online by following the link below. The online tickets are "jump the queue" tickets that are delivered to your mobile via email. You just need to show the tickets on your phone to enter the cable car.

The midway stop is the Mirador station. You can optionally get off at this point and visit the Mirador de l’Alcalde, a terrace from where you can have panoramic views of Barcelona Port. There is no entry fee for access to the viewing platform. You can also visit the Mossen Costa i Llobera Gardens without any entry fee. The gardens are home to several species of cacti and high altitude plants. If you choose not to get off at this point, your journey will continue up to the Castell de Montjuïc.

The cable car will then take you to the next stop, Montjuïc Castle station, which is located on the top of the Montjuïc mountain. Aerial views of the city can be had from this point. The station is close to the 17th century Montjuïc Castle.

You can see that you can reach the cable car main entrance by taking the Funicular de Montjuïc train that is accessible from Paral.lel metro station. Once you get off at the Funicular you only have to walk a few metres to the main entrance of the Montjuïc cable car. You can then take the cable car ride up to the first station on the journey up the mountain which is the Mirador station. You have an option to either alight there or you can stay on to the cable car to the final stop which is, the Montjuïc Castle station. The return journey follows the same route but in reverse.

The tickets for the Montjuïc cable car include a round trip journey from the Telefèric de Montjuïc base station to Mirador station and then up to the Montjuïc Castle station and finally back to the Telefèric de Montjuïc base station after you finish your visit at the Castell de Montjuïc.
