The Salvador Dalí Museum is 140 km north of Barcelona in a small town called Figueres where Dalí used to live.
The Dalí Museum is officially called "Teatre-Museu Dalí" which translates to Dalí Theatre-Museum but for the purposes of this page we will refer to it simply as the "Dalí Museum".
The Dalí Museum has a large collection of the painter's most famous surrealist paintings along with a wide selection of fun creations like a woman standing on an old vintage car, giant eggs and everyday objects hanging from the ceiling that give you a glimpse of Dalí's playful side.
Although it is possible to make your own way there by car probably the easiest and most convenient way to get to the Dalí museum from Barcelona would be to take an organized tour.
