Plaça de Catalunya Train Station in Barcelona Centre
Page Content
Catalunya rail station is located in Plaça de Catalunya, at the heart of Barcelona. It has two platforms and is also linked to the Catalunya metro station (Red Line, L1) and (Green Line, L3). On this page I will be referring to Catalunya over ground rail station, rather than Catalunya metro station. The over ground trains that operate out of the station are all local trains i.e. heading to a location in Catalunya. Although the trains are over ground trains Catalunya station itself is situated underground. The company that operate Catalunya's trains is called Cercanias (part of the RENFE group) and you will notice that the trains are called Rodalies.
