Restaurants at Barcelona Sants Train Station

Page Content

Estacio Sants (Barcelona Sants station) is the largest station in Barcelona. It plays host to a variety of places where you can grab a bite to eat. Unfortunately the variety of food on offer at the various establishments is not huge. And there are no real restaurants at Barcelona Sants - more cafes and fast food joints. However, at most times of the day you will be able to find a number of eateries where you can do everything from killing time with a coffee before you get the train to enjoying a full meal.

This page covers the main food outlets in Barcelona Sants station, with details of locations, opening times and what is on offer. The outlets include: McDonald's, Ars cafe, Caffe di Fiore and Café de l'Estacio.

McDonald's

There is a large McDonald's fast food joint at Sants Estacio. It offers the usual hamburgers, veggie burgers, chicken burgers, fries and soft drinks. It also offers a range of meal deals for both adults and children. If you risk missing your train it may not be the best fast food potion - it is one of the most popular eateries in the station and often has large queues.

Location of McDonald's: sits at the back of the station towards the left of the building. It is slightly obscured, but can be found around the back of the 'Media Distancia' ticket desks.

Opening Times:
Every day: 05:00 - 00:00 Midnight

Ars Cafe

Ars is probably the largest eating establishment in Barcelona Sants station. It has two separate sections - one is more of a café with self service and standing room, the other is more of a restaurant that is only open at lunch times and offers table service. The café section sells coffee, sandwiches, croissants and snacks. The restaurant sells traditional Spanish meals.

Location of Ars Cafe: Ars is located at the front of the Estacio Sants station building on the far right. It is easy to spot with its large butterfly logo.

Opening Times:
Ars Cafe:
Every day: Monday - Saturday: 05:00 - 23:00
Sunday and Public Holiday: 06:00 - 23:00

Ars Restaurant:
Monday - Saturday: 05:00 - 23:00
Sunday and Public Holiday: 06:00 - 23:00

Caffe di Fiore

Caffe di Fiore is like a traditional Italian coffee house. It offers a variety of good quality coffees. It also offers pastries, sandwiches and salads. It has seating room as well as standing room at the bar.

Location of Caffe di Fiore: It is located at the back of the station at the centre.

Opening Times:
Every day: 07:00 - 23:00

Cafe de l'Estacio

There are two of these cafes in the station. The smaller one is only for take away food and is more like a bakery that also serves coffee. The larger of the two serves similar products, including sandwiches, small pizzas, buns and croissants. However, it also has a seating area. Once you have ordered your food and drinks from the glass fridges at the front of the cafe, you can sit down and your food will be served to you. Both cafes have the same opening times.

Location of Caffe de l'Estacio: The smaller café is located at the back of the station at the centre. It sits a few shops down from the large McDonald's (see above).

The larger café is located towards the back at the left hand side of the station. It sits just behind the 'Media Distancia' ticket office.

Opening Times:
Monday - Saturday: 06:30 - 21:30
Sunday and Public Holiday: 07:00 - 21:30

If you simply want to buy some food to eat on the hop, it is also possible to pick up prepackage sandwiches, crisps, sweets and drinks in some of the shops in the station. For more information, see our Guide to Shops in Barcelona Sants Station.

You will also find vending machines dotted around the station. These offer drinks, crisps, sweets and health food snacks. They may prove to be a life saver if you are at the station very early or very late and everything else is closed.

Car Park Reserve your parking space at Barcelona Sants car park

Barcelona Sants has a wide variety of cafes and fast food venues under its roof. In general, the establishments are convenient, as they do not close after lunch and stay open for the whole day. Aside from McDonald's, the other offerings are more local, giving you the opportunity to try more traditionally Spanish food. If you are looking for a more high class restaurant environment, you may need to leave the confines of the station and venture into the surrounding area of Sants.
