On this page you will find our day by day weather log that will give you an accurate idea of the typical weather conditions in Barcelona during the month of May.

Our Advice
May is one of the best months of the year in terms of weather in Barcelona. You can see from the weather log written below, most of the time it will be sunny and warm in May. This will be a good time to walk around and explore Barcelona with good light and light warm breezes that are very pleasant. It's early in the season for sunbathing but you will find people at the beaches now. The beaches are a lot less crowded than peak season. You will need sun protection especially during the mid part of the day.

Daily Comment: Temperature 24° C around 75 F Sunny today with some late hazy cloud at times.

Daily Comment: Temperature 25° C around 77 F Glorious warm and sunny day with a clear blue sky all day - a day for the beach here in Barcelona - but watch the sun - it's strong today.

Daily Comment: Temperature 21° C around 70 F Overcast until 15:00 then the cloud started to clear and the sun was out around 16:00 onwards.

Daily Comment: Temperature 22° C around 72 F A little cooler today and hazy all day. Good weather for walking around and exploring the city -but not so good if you want to lie on the beach.

Daily Comment: Temperature 25° C around 77 F Another warm and sunny day. A little hazy (but still sunny) around 12:00 noon - 15:00 but the light cloud cleared up to give us another gorgeous day in Barcelona.

Daily Comment: Temperature 17° C around 63 F Sunny most of the day but with a gentle cool breeze. A little light cloud after 16:00 but still quite pleasant.

Daily Comment: Temperature 20° C around 68 F - the day started out little cloudy but by 14:00 the clouds had gone and the sun was out. It was a warm sunny day in the afternoon.

Daily Comment: Temperature 16° C around 61 F A changeable day. Cloudy in the morning, then cleared up in the afternoon with sunshine. But the cloud has returned again around 19:00. There was a cool breeze that made the day seem chilly at times.
